Read about me

experience

While as a designer I challenge myself every day, I am looking for a new position that will offer more challenges and learning experiences than my current employment can provide. Ideally, my prerequisites for a new position would include creative space, a collaborative team, a fast-paced environment, and supportive management.

My goals are simple. I intend to be an asset to any employer for whom I work, and would appreciate an opportunity to strengthen my skills as a designer and to learn by collaborating with others around me. I have impeccable organizational skills and can stay focused even in high-pressure situations. My loyalty and positive attitude have helped me blossom as a designer and leader.

As a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, I continue to maintain strong relationships with the local artist community and have always supported my fellow colleagues. I have been an active member of the AIGA for over five years, and have attended many local creative and networking events.

Personal and professional references will be given upon request.

While at Hawthorn Publications, I designed many print advertisements while overseeing design and production and working with the clients and design team directly. The advertisements I designed in-house were featured at the end of each event and wedding brochure. Their sizes varied from full page to business card size, and designed using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Quark Xpress, using 4 color offset printing.

Over the course of my two years with Hawthorn, I designed a total of 100 brochures. My responsibilities were to work directly with our clients and the creative team, pulling together over 250 brochures a year. Approximately brochure was 8" x 11", printed in a 4 color offset process. The brochures were designed in Adobe and Quark Xpress. The Favorite Things tri-fold brochure features my own photography, taken with a Pentax 35mm camera.

Most identities and company branding in my portfolio were designed for freelance projects, which have also led to website design and corporate marketing.

magazines

Elegala Weddings Magazine was an extension of the Elegala website. I developed the template and first design before the completion of the first edition was published. Experience New England Magazine was a regional venue reference map and guide, featuring New England Advertisers and resources for tourists. This first published edition has paved the way for following issues.

My collection of photography is from my travels through Ireland and London in August 2007, and Italy in May 2008. Driving across the Irish countryside, I was able to capture some familiar locations, but more importantly, my goal was to capture the beautiful landacapes and culture of the country. When I drove through the Italian countryside as well as some well-known Italian cities, I was in awe of the amazing colors of the land, the amazing architecture, and the beautiful flowers that bloomed all over.
